Free Write

The room is a calm purple. Kind of like a lavender. Theres nothing in the room except a bowl filled with fruit. Fake I believe. Theres a chocolate bunny in front of the bowl. A firm hand holding an iron is approaching the bunny. Everything is the same color as the room except the bunny. This song is playing, scary yet calm. As you soak everything in the hand releases the iron and leans it onto the bunny. While the piano plays you slowly watch the iron melt the bunny away. Until it is melted through.

Another room painted a happy pink color. Two cactus in pots remain next to each other. One taller than the other. Next to the shorter cactus is a heating lamp. Once again everything is the same color, everything is a "happy" pink. In front of the heating lamp is yet another chocolate bunny. The very same song is playing. The bunny begins to mellow down. Chocolate melts as the bunny decays. You see its eye slowly drip down. It becomes headless before you know it and the lamp is turned off.

The last room is a sky blue. One next to the other are two picture frames. They're both painted the same color as the room. In front stands yet another darn chocolate bunny. The same exact song is playing through. With the same girl " la laing" away. A hand approaches the bunny holding a blow dryer. Everything is blue except for the poor little bunny. Next thing you know the blow dryer is turned on. The chocolate is blown back. Drips of it begin to fling into the picture frames. It gets so hot and the chocolate melts so much that eventually the rest of the bunny's head flies into the picture frames. The bunny stays decapitated as its body melts.

I just described a video that I watched on youtube.

Developing My Character

My character is going to be this one hobo.

Ive talked to him about five times. Its always the same thing. "Excuse me, Do you have some spare change? I'm trying to catch a bus to Santa Monica." Even if I had money I wouldn't give it to him. He doesn't realize I live right by the bar where he drinks all the time. Anyway from what I see this guy is just a regular drunken hobo. It seems like the only goal he really has is to gather up enough change during the day, so that at night he can drink his sorrows away. He has a lying sneaky side. Obviously since he lies to people with his "Santa Monica" story. He is a determined hobo though. He seems to get his drinks so how can he not be determined? This hobo is polite though. He approaches me kindly and leaves kindly. Hes about 5'9 or 5'10. Hes kind of balding on the top of his head but the rest of his hair is shoulder length long. Its pretty dirty and knotted up. He has this scruffy beard and wears the same red shirt with tons of holes. His old school nikes all tore up and dirty. He wears these horribly dirty, greasy, stained pair of jeans. What is surprising is that he doesn't really even smell. I dont smell cigarettes, alcohol, or any nasty smell. Just dirt. Deep down he must be very depressed to give his life away to hustling beer. Therefore this hobo is quite mysterious too. His past is hidden beneath is excessive drinking.

Setting

My setting is the Highland Theater.

I hear people gossiping behind me.
I hear the movie about to start.
I hear my cousins laughing like hyenas at the previews.
I hear people eating popcorn like they're starving.
I hear some guy telling my cousins to shut up.

I see silhouettes of people's heads in front of me.
I see tagging in the bathroom.
I see some lady smacking her daughter in the food line.
I see some little boy playing dance dance revolution.
I see some cheesy action in the movie.

I taste the stuffy air inside the theater.
I taste arizona green tea.
I taste some hot cheeto puffs, yum.
I taste sour gummy worms that weren't even really sour.
I taste chicken wings from.... well i dont remember.

I feel my cousin pushing me to walk faster.
I feel my cousins hair in my hand because im pulling it. haha
I feel kind of bored because the movie has some serious "blah blah blah" parts.
I feel hyper once I get outside in the street with the moons light on me.

I smell my cousin's perfume, its strawberries or something.
I smell the butter from the popcorn.
I smell some guy who seriously over did it with his "AXE".
I smell pee when i walk down the alley.
I smell my aunts delicious enchiladas when we get home.

Response to Lyrics

Artist: Grits
Name : Ooh Ahh

My life be like Ooh Ahh
CHORUS:
It's times like these that make me say,
Lord if you see me please come my way.
Leavin bread crumbs for when I stray
Rely on sacrifice and the price you paid
Feel me like a fingertip
(flow fingertip flow fingertip)
Sometimes I fall I slip
Got a heartfelt desire be more like you
Trying not to quench your fire by the things that i do

I'm on an island by my lonesome stranded
Low key and stayin candid
Reflectin on the things I try my hand at
Search for the equations to persuasions I'm used to
Findin comfort in the zones of closet bones I get loose to
A mountainous fontaine,
Spinnin and monsoonin
Grinnin its high octane
This worlds out wacky
Rollin down the hills cause lifes a hassle
Encircled by my folly like a moat surround a castle
Stay afloat,
Catch a second wind thin is the air I breathe
Teary-eyed nose runnin, wipe the snot on my sleeve
I'm callin on my savior to be all that I need
Please forgive me my behavior had me lost at light speed

CHORUS

The fear of never falling in love
And the tears after losing the feelings
Of what you thought love was
Like the dirt still up under the rug
(My life be like)
Bad characteristics covered in Christ's blood
The joy of new birth and the pain of growing up
The bliss between giving my all and giving up
The highs and lows,
Paths and roads I chose
In the cold I froze
Trying to ease my woes
In this world of sin
Clothes to thin to fend
So to God I send
Words of help to win
In grumblings so deep letters could never express
So the sounds of Ooh Ahh beneath my breath projects

CHORUS

My life be like (Toby Mac)

My life be like ooh aah ooh
Dum dum diddy
Here comes that boy from the capital city
Last up on the Grits new ditty
But eight bars of the truth will do, eh
I believe there's a pride thats stunning,
And I believe in the kingdom coming
I believe if you seek the truth,
You don't need to look far cuz it's gonna find you

So why, oh why, do I trip and stumble?
And ooh ahh as commitments crumble?
I can't believe that I'm hear again

CHORUS

On the honest side, I don't really like this song as much anymore. I only chose it
because its the only song I know of that I can relate to that doesn't have swearing.
I think just about anyone, who believes in God, can relate to this song. Its basically about going through struggles in life and calling out to God to help you through them. Just like everyone else I have millions of struggles in my life. Between family/friends/school and tons of other things. So I pray to God to help me through them.
